BBP is looking for a

JUNIOR CELLAR & PACKAGING

full time – september 2022 – Brussels BASED  

Our story 

Born in the Summer ’13, Brussels Beer Project is now entering the most exciting stage of growth moving from a start-up to a scale-up phase. Our aim is to be amongst the leading voices of the craft movement in Belgium & Beyond.

We are now a team of over 60 stupid dreamers shooting at the stars, and a much larger community behind us. We want to boost our talent base for the exciting opportunities lying ahead and are looking for someone unique joining our production team in the brewery of Port Sud, Anderlecht!

What will you do?

Mechanically minded, bringing enthusiasm, energy and love for craft beers, you will join to assist a team of passionate brewers at Port Sud. You will be key to cellaring (cold block) and packaging the best beers, as well as helping all the logistics in/out.

  • Cold-Block: active player
    • Assist cold-block specialist in fermentation management and cellaring – including purge regimes, cropping, dry-hopping and other additions
    • Dry-hopnick specialist within 6 months
    • Assist cold-block specialist in CIP management and line preparation
    • Assist senior brewers with all aspects of brew preparation
  • Packaging: active player
    • Always be present to put the best beers into the cans, kegs and bottles 😊
    • With a rotating member of the production team, manage & oversee all packaging runs on bottles, cans & kegs. Leibinger and Lambrechts specialist within 6 months
    • Hands-on approach to continuously optimize processes and repair elements.
    • Manage set-up and clean-up of the line (excluding filler)
    • Working with the technical lead, ensuring all machines and conveyor systems on the grey-floor are fit for purpose
    • Participate in quality control – collection of samples for quality team, and collection of samples from every batch for release protocol and archiving
  • Logistics & site management: help
    • Assist all incoming and outgoing deliveries from Port Sud and the Warehouse – keeping everything timely, and 100% clean and safe
    • Assist management of incoming raw materials, ensuring constant communication with the production manager, and that all the information needed for tracking, excises and quality is recorded in the ERP system.
    • Active focus on incoming quality, alongside the quality team, of all incoming deliveries, ensuring all certificates of analysis are recorded in the ERP system, and brewsheet calculators.
    • Assisting operations and site manager with keeping the building 100% clean, and safe. Make some fixes when needed

Who are you?

  • A total beer freak! You are passionate about craft beers, and you want to spread its love
  • You have a big smile, a top team spirit, a non-stop energy.
  • You have mechanically skilled and/or have curiosity to know how each machine works technically
  • You speak English and French or Dutch. All three of them is a big plus

        • engage with customers willing to learn more about beer
        • advise our community on the large selection available
        • be responsible for specific shifts with the possibility to handle the opening & closing
        • be able to work under pressure & rush times
        • share the story of Beer Project
        • work Tuesday through Sunday from 2 to 12pm (not every day ?)- give tastings & tours

        Your mission

        We look for someone to showcase top skills in advising & running a taproom

        STUDENT SQUAD

        PART Time – bRUSSELS-based

        You will be able to take part in a nice Team and Project and experience working in all of our bars in Brussels (Dansaert, Bailli & Port Sud) 

        Your mission will be to give a hand on the service and the cleaning of the bars, interacting at the same time with our nice customers. 

        You will be directly integrated into the BBP STUDENT SQUAD, where you going to be able to learn and share some ideas and experiences.
